The SEAMEO Song Angklung Contest aims to promote the Southeast Asian identity and appreciation of cultural heritage through a common and unique musical instrument in Southeast Asia, called “Angklung”.

The SEAMEO Song Angklung Contest aims to promote the Southeast Asian identity and appreciation of cultural heritage through a common and unique musical instrument in Southeast Asia, called “Angklung”. ​​

The Contest consists of 2 categories: 1) Traditional Angklung Performance, and 2) Digital Angklung Performance by using mobile phone. The school entries must include 2 songs: 1) SEAMEO song (Building the Future, the SEAMEO Legacy), and 2) a popular song. 

We would like to invite public and private primary and secondary schools in 11 Southeast Asian countries to submit the entries.  The last day for submission of entries is  Friday 18 September 2015.
